Reverie Café + Bar and Modus Locus Gallery invite you to In the Spirit of Mayday, a free, community block party just off the intersection of 35th Street and Bloomington Avenue in South Minneapolis. South Minneapolis comes alive on the first Sunday in May celebrating spring, renewal, community, creativity and so much more. We're happy to provide a public space where folks can gather on this special day. There are so many activities happening in the community; we don't have the details about everything but will post everything we know on our socials.
Immersed in the enchanting world of Modus Locus Expansion, Kinetic Playground is a journey through three decades of artistic evolution—an excavation of color, rhythm, and emotion drawn from both the streets and the studio. This retrospective showcases works made across time, alongside a new body of work that threads past and present through a common language: fluidity, immediacy, rhythm, and composition.
Much of the work draws from the gestural urgency of street art—where time is short, and the canvas is often a wall, a doorway, or a live event. That same freshness and vibrancy is mirrored in studio pieces, where Ephraim embraces spontaneity while navigating deliberate design.
At the heart of the process is a practice of rescue and reinvention. Working with found and forgotten materials—window panes, wood panels, cast-off paints and canvases—Eusebio transforms the overlooked into the iconic. His process is both a physical and spiritual excavation, where what’s available becomes what’s essential, and chance becomes part of the composition. The act of hunting and gathering these overlooked materials becomes a vital part of the process, often informing the direction, feel, and the story of each piece.
Ephraim’s influences are eclectic and deeply rooted in movements that push the boundaries of perception and form: psychedelic art, abstract expressionism, pop art, cubism, scenic painting, live action painting, graffiti, and street art. His work pulses with that tension between chaos and control—vivid marks meeting clean design, vibrant improvisation meeting structured rhythm.
Kinetic Playground is a living map of moments, styles, materials, and stories, intersecting and colliding across decades. This collection invites viewers to feel the beat of an artist in motion—always collecting, always composing, always responding to the world in real time.

Overview:
The Alpha and Omega is an evolutionary pattern of consciousness that alternates between individuality and divine unity. When certain critical conditions are met a revolutionary quantum leap can occur, which changes reality itself at a fundamental level. We are now in the preparation stage for such a leap of consciousness. This is more than a shift for humanity, it is an unprecedented planetary-level event. Come feel the frequency in this experiential workshop, through activational imagery and subtle energy work.
Welcome & Introduction | 2 – 2:15pm
The Big Picture: Fractal Patterns of Emergence | 2:15 – 2:50pm
From the Hero’s Journey to the Great Year (precession of the equinoxes) we are immersed in fractal patterns of evolutionary change, in a constant state of becoming. Understanding these fundamental patterns and the role and impact of revolutionary jumps can help us to consciously navigate the process.
Break 2:50 – 3pm
Our Original Blueprint of Life | 3 – 3:35pm
At conception, our first 8 cells form a star tetrahedron that carries our full blueprint for life. These 8 original cells never change or divide. Their sacred geometry, the star tetrahedron, is a fundamental structure and an energetic template for consciousness. These 8 cells are key to deep healing, in preparation for our evolution.
Break 3:35 – 3:45pm
Becoming a New Human | 3:45 – 4:20pm
Opening your heart is the key to the door of awakening. What follows is a gradual process of establishing a heart-centered way of being, an internal ‘pole shift’ and geometric changes right down to the atomic level. Our future human form, the Pure Gem Body, is a light-encoded crystalline state of being.
Break 4:20 – 4:30
Evolutionary Media & Technology | 4:30 – 5:05pm
Explore the life force of our evolutionary journey through the breath of media and technology development. From the birth of language and symbolic thought to the systems of agriculture to the current rise of transformational technology and the information noosphere, the holistic human story resonates a deep symbiotic relationship to our capacity for complex communication mediums and devices.
Break 5:05 – 5:15pm
The New Earth Star | 5:15 – 5:50pm
Planet Earth is close to the end of an evolutionary cycle and in the preparation phase for its own quantum leap. This is an unprecedented event and is intertwined with human ascension. Many prophets have foretold a planetary Alpha and Omega event. Every ending is also a new beginning, by divine design. For Earth this will be a transition from the current World System I to a World System II.
Closing Remarks / Evening Intro | 5:50 – 6pm
Community Gathering | 6 - 8pm
The Midtown Farmers Market has served the South Minneapolis community and beyond since 2003 as a hub for food access, community togetherness, and collective joy. As we embark on our 22nd year of the market, we need your help to sustain our work.
Gather, Graze, & Grow is a unique opportunity to taste local flavors, meet your favorite vendors and neighbors, and enjoy special musical performances, all in effort to raise funds for our market. We invite our community and beyond to celebrate Midtown Farmers Market in anticipation of the 2025 season.
Proceeds of the fundraiser will be used to continue to drive impact to enrich our market through programming, equipment, and marketing efforts. By attending the fundraiser and donating, you can help protect community access to fresh, local food and strengthen diverse arts and music programming in our neighborhood.

Join us as we recreate our version of the "Good Friday Experiment". Is it possible to induce a Mystical Experience? A community event you wont want to miss!
The "Good Friday Experiment" was conducted back in 1962. Walter N. Pahnke, a graduate student in theology at Harvard Divinity School, designed the experiment under the supervision of Timothy Leary, Richard Alpert, and the Harvard Psilocybin Project. The idea was to investigate if a mystical experience could reliably be induced in "spiritually predisposed subjects" (Graduate students in divinity school) .
In the original experiment half of the subjects received Psilocybin containing mushrooms before attenting a Good Friday church service and almost all of the members of the experimental group reported experiencing profound religious experiences. While we will NOT be handing out psilocybin mushrooms for this event **, we will be taking you through a series of Kundalini Kriyas and droping you in to a Sound Meditation session that is designed to shift your experience towards the Mystical. And just for fun, we will have a version of the "Mystical Experience Questionnaire" available for you after the session if you'd like to fill it out and compare results with others.
**(Please be responsible and respectful if you are choosing to enhance/shift your own conscious state prior to arrival. You are in control of your own wellbeing.)
We intend for this session to go deep and expect that many of you will take some time to connect immediatly afterwards. Modus Locus Expansion is an incredible gathering space that exists at the nexus point of art, culture and community. You'll feel the vibe as soon as you enter the space. It's the perfect location and will provide us with the opportunity to re-orient and socialize as we come back to reality. So give yourself permission to feel deeply relaxed, connected and grounded as you explore the flow of consciousness.
We begin the practice together waking up the body and the nervous system through movement and breath . As the relaxing euphoria sets in we will begin clearing energy in the body with vocal toning. From this connected place you can explore allowing your voice to be felt and heard. Then we drop into a fully immersive sound meditation experience. You will be surrounded by the rich vibrations of life resonating and flowing through you.
What to Bring: yoga mat, blankets, pillows, eye mask, water bottle. Whatever you need to feel comfortable laying down for an hour.
Feel free to bring a snack for after the ceremony and give yourself permission to ease into the evening.
Thomasina and Bob Fisk are mind body facilitators with backgrounds in personal development, meditation, yoga, breathwork, music and mental health/wellness. They have been called to the power of sound through first hand experience and training, both with the instruments and philosophies of this timeless wellness modality.
We look forward to sitting with you and benefiting from the medicine you carry!
